Four days and four very different areas in Olympic National Park

Four areas of Olympic National Park in four days. The park features lush, concealed valleys with spectacular cascades and falls, glacier-clad mountains, rugged pacific coastline and stunning lower elevation lakes. Each area offers its own unique landscape and ecosystem. Due to the park's isolation as a result of glaciation, animals such as the Olympic Marmot with their unique whistle live only here and nowhere else on earth.

Blakely Rock, only a paddle adventure away from Bainbridge Island

Blakely Rock is a striking inslet off Bainbridge Island, offering a unique blend of rugged beauty and marine life. At low tide, the islet transforms into a small island with a breathtaking view of the Seattle skyline, a white shell beach for landing, and fascinating sea creatures. Definitely a hidden gem of the Puget Sound area.

Seattle has the unique ability to feel both vibrant and serene

Dublin's Temple Bar district brings out my Irish

Dublin's Temple Bar dates back to the 1600s and is known as Temple Bar because of the prominent Temple family and the bar on the River Liffey. The Ha'penny bridge crosses the Liffey River at Temple Bar. Before the Ha'penny Bridge was built, there were seven ferries operating across the river. The ferries were in bad condition and the bridge was opened in 1816. A ha'penny toll was charged from anyone crossing it for 100 years.

Rome at night offers a very different perspective

Walking through Rome at night is like stepping into a dream. The bustling crowds give way to quiet echoes, and the city's ancient stones glow under the soft moonlight. Famous landmarks like the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain reveal a serene beauty that's often missed in the daylight. The streets, lit by warm amber lights, invite leisurely strolls, offering a chance to see the Eternal City from a more intimate perspective, where every corner whispers stories of the past.

What an amazing mixture of history and cultures. Add in a wonderful melding of foods from Africa and Europe, layered with the Mediterranean, and you have the makings of a truly great travel destination.
